Addison J. Hosner
Addison J. Hosner, Esq. joined Lusk, Drasites & Tolisano, P.A. in May, 2020 as an Associate Attorney, focusing his practice in the areas of marital and family law, civil litigation, and personal injury. Addison is a Florida native, born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida. He attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, attaining his B.A. in Journalism. After working in the Delray Beach area post-graduation, Addison pursued his passion in law and attended Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska.
During his time in Omaha, Addison concurrently completed his Juris Doctor degree alongside two Master of Science degrees, graduating with all three degrees in three years. He holds a Master of Science degree in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution and a Master of Science degree in Government Organization and Leadership, as well as having completed mediation training to become a certified mediator by the State of Nebraska Office of Dispute Resolution.
While in Omaha, Addison clerked for the law firm of Welsh & Welsh, working under a Top 100 National Trial Lawyer, specializing in plaintiff’s personal injury. He spent a semester studying international criminal law abroad in The Hague, Netherlands and Nuremberg, Germany, the site of the historic Nuremberg Trials following World War II. Additionally, he spent a semester in Washington, D.C., working for the Cato Institute’s Center for Constitutional Studies as a legal intern under direction by leaders in the field. Addison was selected for and is currently a part of the James Madison Institute’s Leaders Fellowship program for under-40-year-old professionals in the state of Florida.
Addison has practiced law on both coasts of Florida and takes a stern but fair approach to all conflicts. His philosophy is that while legal disputes can escalate into highly adversarial conflicts they do not always have to, and often they can be resolved with a more finessed approach. In his spare time, when not reading up on the latest public policy issues, Addison is an avid fisherman and gym goer that revels in the Florida outdoors and beautiful year-round weather.
